WARM SWEET POTATO 'PIE' SMOOTHIE!



This recipe I made up.  It's all mine, ha!  Sometimes you don't want a cold smoothie and you want something warm... And let me tell you, this is a meal.  You will be full!  Now we are going to cook the Sweet Potato, but remember, being on a Raw Diet doesn't mean you have to be 100% raw.  Sweet Potatoes are healthier when cooked.  They have unbelievable nutrient content.  They are what we call, you ready?..... SUPER FOOD!  Oooooohhhhh!


You will need:  Blender*

Ingredients:
2 Sweet potatoes (washed throughly)
2 bananas
Some 'milk' (Best with almond/coconut milk)
Pinch of cinnamon
(if it's just you, do 1 sweet potato, 1 banana)
 


1. So I cooked these two Sweet Potatoes at 400 for about 45 mins to 1 hour.  You want to make sure they are cooked and nice 'n soft.  Their flavor is delicious.  Slit tops for ventilation.

2. So we want a warm smoothie.  So take 2 forks (to avoid burning yourself) and carefully peel away the skin.  Don't you DARE throw it away!  :)





3. Place hot sweet potato, bananas, and a pinch of cinnamon in blender.  

4. Pour almond milk half way in blender.  Since the sweet potato is hot and the milk is cold, you will have a nice, warm smoothie.




5. Now blend for a good 2 minutes and let everything mix well.  I like this one a little bit thicker than my other smoothies.  So you can pour your milk in as you are blending to get your preferred consistency.

6. Pour into a glass and ENJOY your warm smoothie!




See how I shoved the Sweet Potato skin into the smoothie?  I like to dip it and eat it.  It's so good for you!  And it kind of looks cool ;)  

P.S... Feel free to throw a handful of green leafy kale or spinach in there, too!

*Now if you don't have a blender just yet, don't feel like you can't enjoy this!  Just cook your Sweet Potato throughly and slice it open.  Put some olive oil or coconut oil on it, a dash of cinnamon, peel a banana, and wash it down with some almond milk!  ;)
